APPLE PIE
EVERYTHING BUT TASTE-FREE

Natural, Fat free, Gluten-Free, Casein-Free, Vegetarian

Crust

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups Gluten Free Oats
1 cup Santa Cruz Organic Cinnamon Apple Sauce
¼ tsp Hain Sea Salt

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan. Mix oats, applesauce and salt in a large bowl. Press into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie pan. Bake 25-30 min or until lightly golden.

Filling

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups McCutcheon's Unfiltered Apple Juice
¼ cup Sweet Cactus Farms Light Agave Nectar
4 tbsp quick cooking granulated tapioca
4 large peeled and grated organic granny smith apples
½ tsp Simply Organic Cinnamon
¼ tsp Frontier Organic Nutmeg

DIRECTIONS:

Combine apple juice, agave nectar and tapioca in a medium saucepan. Let sit for 5 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes, then bring to a boil stirring constantly. Lower heat and cook until tapioca thickens and becomes clear. Add apples, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. Pour into cooled crust and chill until set about 2 hours.
